THE LEAST WE CAN DO
It’s a windy day here in North Texas, and it seems like we are about to take a plunge back into cooler weather after we’ve been in the 80’s again for a few days. The children are all praying for no rain on Halloween. The monarchs are having navigational issues. And while setting out some flowers, we bought for all our pollinating friends, we looked down and noticed this little one who is out pollinating our watermelon flowers. These flowers will probably never be watermelons at this point in the season, but when there isn’t something new to go in the bed? We simply leave it, to help our insect population as they continue to ready themselves for winter. After all, they help us all growing season. Seems to be the least we can do. 🐝
