79 onions and 35 green onions, left our hands and were given to food pantries to distribute to the vulnerable and in need.

That’s about 25 pounds worth! πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Why do we grow onions?
Onions may have several health benefits, mostly due to their high content of antioxidants and sulfur-containing compounds. They have anti-inflammatory effects, and have been linked to reduced risk of cancer, lower blood sugar levels and improved bone health. They also contain vitamins C and B6, as well as folate and potassium.

If you live in the North Texas area, its an exciting time, because we can start planting onions! We have our onions and potatoes in house, getting ready to plant. Would you considering joining us? And planting a little extra to give away? 🌱
