BROCCOLI & CAULIFLOWER :: 2018 STATS
5 broccoli and 5 cauliflower left our hands and were given to food pantries to distribute to the vulnerable and in need.
Those numbers seem small, but it was about 12 pounds worth! 🙌🏻
We lost one broccoli to the animals, but we suppose they have to eat, too. We had a learning curve with the cauliflower, and when to pick it before it flowers.
Why do we grow these veggies?
BROCCOLI is high in many nutrients, including fiber, vitamin C, vitamin K, iron and potassium. Broccoli also contains more protein than most other vegetables.
CAULIFLOWER is an extremely healthy vegetable that's a significant source of nutrients including C, K, B6, folate, potassium, manganese, magnesium, and phosphorus. It also contains unique plant compounds that may reduce the risk of several diseases, including heart disease and cancer.
With the right foods, we can head off medical problems at the pass.
